Indigo Land Design is a full-service, fully insured boutique civil engineering firm based in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. The firm was formally established in 2004 by its principal, Joe Wren, PE. We pride ourselves in superior “old-fashioned” client service and communication which has resulted in a very successful track record and an impeccable reputation. Our work consists of a wide variety of projects of all types and sizes, ranging from single-family residential homes to major commercial developments. Our experience spans more than 1,500 projects in more than 80 towns and cities in CT, MA, RI, NY, and VT.
Shoreline Expertise
In Connecticut alone, we have successfully completed several hundred shoreline development projects from Stonington to Darien. Regulatory Expertise

Real Estate Expertise
Mr. Wren is a licensed real estate agent and a Director of Business Development (New Development Services) with William Raveis Real Estate. In this role, Joe provides consultation to agents for projects throughout the Northeast and Florida regarding all types of land and development projects. He has spoken at industry events educating other realtors in aspects of land use, including construction, FEMA flood, septic systems, land development and subdivision, and more.
